WV Record Broken: 'Da Garbage Disposal' Conquers the Homewrecker at Hillbilly Hot Dogs
Brandon Clark smashes the long-standing record at Lesage's legendary Hillbilly Hot Dogs — and it wasn't even close
If you haven't heard of Hillbilly Hot Dogs in Lesage, West Virginia, it's time you did. This beloved roadside institution — famous for its quirky school bus dining room, walls plastered with signatures, and jaw-dropping menu — has become a bucket-list stop for food lovers across the country. And in a recently released video, it became the site of a record-breaking feat courtesy of one very hungry man from the internet.
Brandon Clark, known online as Da Garbage Disposal, made the trip to the Tri-State area for what he described as his first-ever West Virginia food challenge — and he made it count.
The Challenge: The Homewrecker
The Homewrecker is Hillbilly Hot Dogs' ultimate test of hunger and determination. It's a towering 15-inch, 1-pound sausage loaded down with a full 2 inches of toppings — we're talking slaw, jalapeños, tomatoes, mustard, and more piled sky-high on a bun that barely contains it all.
To beat the challenge and earn a free t-shirt, you have 12 minutes to clean your plate. But to get your money back and claim true glory, you'd need to beat the standing speed record of 2 minutes and 32 seconds — a mark set by a 21-year-old who, according to staff, dipped his bread in water to help it go down faster.
The Homewrecker costs $24.50 — and Brandon was ready to risk it all.

"I'm Going to Try for 2:32"
Brandon didn't arrive planning to just finish the challenge — he came to break the record. After chatting with staff, learning the rules (no sharing, no hiding food in pockets, no licking the plate required but no leaving chunks either), and getting set up in the iconic school bus dining room, he was ready.
The countdown came: "Three, two, one — YEEHAW!"
What followed was an absolute blur. Brandon tore into the massive hot dog with practiced precision, methodically working through the mountain of toppings and meat with focused speed. Staff and onlookers gathered to watch, and when the dust settled — the record had fallen.
Brandon shattered the previous record, completing the Homewrecker in a new best time and earning his money back, a free t-shirt, and a place on the Hillbilly Hot Dogs wall of fame.
