Park Place Stadium Cinemas Set to Reopen April 1st

It's official — Park Place Stadium Cinemas is coming back.
At a press event held today inside the theater, Mayor Amy Shuler Goodwin stood alongside Rob Faulkner and his team to announce that Park Place Stadium Cinemas will officially reopen on April 1, 2026. The announcement marks a long-awaited return of moviegoing to the heart of downtown Charleston.
Leading the revival is the Greater Charleston Theater Company and Entertainment Group, who are committed to restoring the magic of film to the local community. In a meaningful nod to the venue's history, the group is bringing back former Park Place employees — people who know the theater inside and out — to help ensure the grand reopening is everything audiences are hoping for.
Preparations are already underway, and management is excited to welcome the community back through the doors this spring.
