Charleston's Capitol Theater Announces 2026 Summer Concert Series
A spectacular lineup of Appalachian folk, country, and indie acts is headed to the historic venue this June through August
The Capitol Theater in downtown Charleston has unveiled its most ambitious summer concert series yet, promising over 30 live performances spanning June through August 2026.
A Season of Mountain Music
From bluegrass legends to rising indie stars, the lineup reflects West Virginia's rich musical heritage while embracing new sounds. "We wanted to create something that honors where we come from while showing where Appalachian music is headed," said venue director Marcus Cole.
Highlights Include
- Tyler Childers – A homecoming show for the Eastern Kentucky native beloved across Appalachia
- The Staves – British folk trio making their WV debut
- Local Showcase Nights – Dedicated evenings for WV-based artists
Tickets go on sale April 1st, with early bird pricing available for the full series pass.
Community Impact
The series is expected to bring an estimated $2 million in tourism revenue to the Kanawha Valley, with partnerships with local restaurants and hotels already in place.
